Black History Month Survives, Hosted by the Sola Foundation…A Youth Crucial Conversation, Featuring Dakar Foundation Mentee, Wykin Harris, and President Elect Pasadena Branch NAACP, Brandon Lamar @ SoLa BeeHive, Wed. Feb. 19th, 2025

Last night the SOLA Foundation under the direction of Monty Marsh, hosted a screening and Q & A of a film Monty produced and went on al film festival run for the ages. Although the film was considered a short documentary, it certainly had the legs for more engagement, especially with young adult audiences. Cudo’s to the SOLA Foundation staff for giving us a sneak preview of the Depot Venue ahead of the big Fire-Relief Experience, this Saturday, Feb. 22. The BeeHive and the Depot make for a striking live event production space experience. Can’t wait for Saturday….

We’ve been on an incredible journey with the youngest president of an NAACP branch that we know of in the United States, Brandon Lamar . His confirmation as president comes at a critical juncture, as the Country, the State, and the County of LA grapples with the aftermath of the WILDFIRES in Eaton the Palisades, and the White House.

We first observed his leadership style at a convening of the national body of the NAACP at his Church one week after the Eaton Wildfire. His energy and insight belies his 32 years of age, and can only be seen as transformational and infectious. We will stay connected to him as he blazes a trail for other young men and women to take the baton and lead by example.
