Dakar Foundation & HartBeat Studios Reboot Apprenticeship Pathways for Spring 2026 To Include Event Management & Line Producer Certification

Introducing “Multi-Core”: A New Hybrid Model for Career Discovery, Creative Production, and AI-Driven Workforce Readiness

This week marked an exciting milestone for the Dakar Foundation and our long-standing partner, HartBeat Studios, as we came together for an information-sharing session and site tour that set the stage for the next evolution of our apprenticeship ecosystem.

As we prepare for Spring Semester 2026, we’re thrilled to announce the early framework for a re-imagined, learner-centered pre-apprenticeship model—developed in collaboration with a leading California Community College Hospitality/Event Management program. This partnership signals a major leap forward in how we connect students to real-world creative and production careers.

A New Hybrid Approach: Entertainment Meets Event Management

During our working session, we explored the tremendous value of merging Entertainment Line Producer training with Event Management curricula. The result? A hybrid pathway designed to give learners hands-on, holistic experience in:

  • Creative producing & project management
  • Live event and on-set coordination
  • Budgeting, scheduling, logistics, and vendor relations
  • Audience engagement, operations, and guest experience
  • AI-enhanced planning and machine-learning workflow tools

This cross-disciplinary approach reflects the realities of today’s entertainment, events, and experiential media industries—where production and event expertise overlap more than ever.

Introducing the “Multi-Core”, Multi-Modal Programming.

The working title for this new pre-apprenticeship model is Multi-Core”, “Multi Modal”—a nod to its integrated design and the AI-driven tools that will support it.

Multi-Core will focus on:

  • Career discovery and exploration for students unsure where they fit in the creative industries
  • AI and machine learning applications to accelerate workflow, enhance problem-solving, and improve decision-making
  • Hybrid learning environments blending studio tours, case studies, live event simulations, and production labs
  • Wraparound services that reduce stress and increase support for every learner
  • A smoother on-ramp into registered apprenticeship pathways with Hartbeat, Dakar, and industry partners

Our goal is simple: less pressure, more support, and clearer pathways to long-term success.

Why This Matters

As media, entertainment, and live events increasingly rely on real-time problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and AI-supported workflows, students need a new kind of preparation—one that is agile, interdisciplinary, and rooted in real industry practice.

By combining the strengths of the California Community College system, Hartbeat Studios, and the Dakar Foundation, we’re building a pipeline that reflects where the industry is going, not where it has been.

What’s Next

Over the coming months, our teams will begin shaping curriculum, designing hands-on experiences, and finalizing the architecture of the Multi-Core program. We’ll also continue deepening our partnership with community colleges that serve diverse populations and emerging creators across California.

Stay tuned as we share milestones, pilot opportunities, and behind-the-scenes updates from the next chapter of our apprenticeship reboot. Spring 2026 is just the beginning—and we can’t wait to bring you along for the journey.
